2A12 aluminum alloy metal Al-Cu-Mg series aluminum alloy, main features and application scope: This is a kind of hard aluminum that can be strengthened by heat treatment.
In the quenched and freshly quenched state, the plasticity is medium, and the spot welding is good. There is a tendency to form intergranular cracks when gas welding. The alloy hardens during quenching and cold work.
Its machinability is good after oxidation, but its machinability is low after annealing: its corrosion resistance is not high, and anodizing and painting methods or surface treatment are often used.
